Luke & Hannah | Oklahoma Wedding

I had the honor of photographing Luke and Hannah’s wedding day. I’ve known Hannah for quite awhile. We met in college which is also where she met Luke. When she reached out to discuss me heading out to Oklahoma City for their wedding there was no hesitation. Weddings are hands down my favorite occasion to be a part of and this one was no exception. The day was full of emotion and I’m incredibly tankful I was there to document it all.

The Brunson’s wedding day was simply magical. I started the day getting ready with the bride and I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding party. Everyone was incredibly sweet and helpful making my job a piece of cake. Hannah was an absolutely lovely bride and the happiness radiating off of her resulted in some amazing photographs.

One of my favorite moments was Hannah’s parents seeing her for the first time in her dress and then Hannah presenting her mother with an incredibly special gift. Hannah’s grandmother passed away shortly before the wedding and her absence was keenly felt. Hannah wanted to make sure her beloved grandmother was part of her big day so she had two hearts cut from one of her grandmothers dresses. The first heart was attached to a handkerchief and gifted to her mother. The second was sewn to the inside of Hannah’s dress as her “something blue” for the day. It was a incredibly emotional and special moment when Hannah presented the handkerchief and explained its sentiment to her mother. As I’m sure you can imaging the moment was overflowing with emotion and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. I’m positive Mrs. Sprague will cherish that handkerchief forever.

Hannah and Luke have been blessed with a truly amazing family. The amount of love and support for these two packed into the church for their ceremony was just incredible. There is no doubt in my mind they felt it. The cherry on top was an amazing sendoff for the new Mr. and Mrs. Brunson. Family and friends were all lined up throwing confetti and congratulating the new couple. Lot of tears and cheers made for a perfect conclusion to a wonderful union.

After the send-off the newlyweds and I ventured downtown for some pictures of the couple. These two are the definition of adorable. They are so in love and we had a ton of fun running around getting some amazing shots. I am incredibly happy for them and hope their lives together are full of the joy and love their wedding day was.

If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram you know weddings are my favorite. (If you don’t follow me you should😉) For this special occasion I had the pleasure of working with a good friend of mine, the ever talented James Young. James shot video footage of the wedding and then my talented husband Eric Mattox edited the video. You can check it out here.

I love collaborating with other professionals in the field, especially those I have become friends with. If you are looking for a wedding photographer or know someone who is I would love to document your special day!

xoxo- Kayla
